The Semi Auto Gluer has been designed exclusively for the Gluing of slotted cartons with a cold PVA Glue.
Cartons are loaded onto the rising table on the front of the machine. When the machine is switched on, the pile will rise until the top sheet breaks a photo eye at the entry level of the machine. The operator then folds over two outer panels and pushes the carton into the machine. The feed table then indexes upwards until the next carton is at the correct height.
Glue is applied via a wheel that is gravity fed from the glue pot. After the glue is placed on the glue lap, the box indexes forwards into the hopper where a 'Spanker' squares the boxes and a bar ensures the box is held closed while drying. When the hopper is full, a photo cell activates the main conveyor belt, which indexes the cartons out to the final conveyor, where they are ejected in bundles of pre-set quantities ready for strapping and palletizing. |
