The machine frame is a single piece welded steel construction which is stress relieved and milled flat to a very fine tolerance. The high capacity gantry is driven from each end by precision ballscrews for backlash free motion. The controller has a sophisticated self squaring feature which keeps the machine accurately aligned at all times to eliminate any twisting or crabbing.
The HDS machines use state of the art digital drives with ac brushless servo motors and closed loop position monitoring with full look-ahead for ultra smooth motion. These are very fast machines which do not compromise accuracy or cut quality. They all have built in vacuum beds with zonal switching to optimise workpiece hold down.
